Mar 14, 2013Tips for upgrade from 10.0.1 to 10.2.2
Hi,
I'm planning to upgrade from version 10.0.1 to 10.2.2, just hoping for a few tips and wondered if i could test using the Virtual Edition on my laptop. I have a licence but never used it before.
Thanks
Darren

I'm not sure if you can do that on your laptop .but, generally speaking, upgrafe form v10.0.1 to v10.2.x is simple, all you have to do is to download v10.2.2 iso, then you can upgrade from GUI,it's quite easy.
1.Upload the ISO image to /shared/images on your system,if it does not exist, you should create it .
2.Do "im " - this installs the image2disk utility.
3.Do the image2disk . The actual command depends on whether you want partitions or volumes.you can find out about image2disk in the SG.

This one could be a reference for you.
U'd better backup your configuration before you upgrade!
good luck!
