Timeouts when using Putty

Hi all,

 

 

I hope this is the right forum for this topic. Basically I am having a timeout issue when using Putty (in ssh mode) via a App Tunnel. In a nutshell the Putty session timeouts after 10min and closes. I have increased the timeout value to 30min, but we are still seeing Putty sessions being dropped at 10min. I am using a dynamic tunnel if that makes a difference. Any tips most welcome.

    Hey Craig,

     

     

    It sounds like your SSH server has a 10 minute idle timeout. If you open PuTTY internally (without FirePass) does it timeout after 10 mins? Check the sshd_config file (typically in /etc/ssh/sshd_config or similar) and look for the idle timeout configuration.
