The service F5MonitoringService has exited with exit code 18
- Install fails citing missing SCOM components.
- I run the repair after checking to ensure these were present, log shows this:
- <09-19-2012 08:10:17> FatalError: Could not access existing Console files: C:\Program Files\F5 Networks\Management Pack\Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.OperationsManager.ClientShell.Console.psc1.bak, C:\Program Files\System Center 2012\Operations Manager\Server\Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.OperationsManager.ClientShell.Console.psc1 : Could not find file 'C:\Program Files\System Center 2012\Operations Manager\Server\Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.OperationsManager.ClientShell.Console.psc1'.
- I place that file manually into the appropriate directory and run the repair again.
- Service will not start. 'problem attempting to make calls into the F5 Monitoring Service. Check event log.
- System event log states 'F5 Monitoring Service terminated with the following error: There are no more files.'
- Enabled 'All' logging state in the config and started the service again.
- trace.log shows: Global Information: 0 : [9/19/2012 8:32:17 AM]A data operation failed: Error=F5Networks.ManagementPack.DataAccess.ManagedConnections.ConnectionFailedException: The EventDataSourceConnector connection to Operations Manager Health Service host HealthService could not be established: Failed to connect to an IPC Port: The system cannot find the file specified. (snipped the rest)
- Cool.
- I set the F5 service account as dbo on the new F5 database and restarted the service.
- More info from the trace.log:

The F5 service account is DBO for the SCOM dbs and F5 dbs, is domain admin, part of local admin group. Not sure how I can open it up any further.
