Jan 04, 2011The Blocking Reponse Page is blocked and looping :-)
Hi there,
On our ASM, for the Blocking Reponse Page, we use a redirect to a page on the application server:
So the browser is requesting
https://the.server/path-to/blocking-pag...

Jan 04, 2011Having an iRule for this is a CPU and maintenance overhead. You can do this WITHOUT iRules:
Create a new HTTP-Class with Match URI: "/path-to/blocking-page*" and set the Action to go directly to your pool (or even better, set up a new "blocking_page_pool"). Then configure that HTTP Class to be processed prior to the ASM-enabled one on your Virtual Server (using Up/Down buttons on Virtual Server Resource screen). This way any request to your blocking page will bypass ASM as the HTTP class match will take that request directly to the pool.
...or (if you can) just host the blocking page elsewhere (i.e. on a different Virtual Server/Website which only hosts plain HTML and images)
