Testing SNMP in BIP IP LTM running with version 11.5.1

Hi Team, I'm working on a task to add the new SNMP servers in LTM. I would like to verify the connectivity to the SNMP server on the port number 161.

since SNMP is a UDP based protocol, we cannot test it by using telnet.

Is there any way to confirm that the connectivity to SNMP server on port number 161 is working from LTM.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Regards, Thiyagu

  • You can generate snmp traps, see the following:

  • Hi Thiyagu,

You can test using snmpwalk from your SNMP server.

    snmpwalk -v2c -c .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.4.2.0
