TCP Nagle Algorithm

Hi Team ,

As per the article :

https://community.f5.com/t5/technical-articles/a-new-and-better-nagle-algorithm/ta-p/290706

Does this mean if VS is having either HTTP/SSL profile , by defualt F5 will enforce Nagle algorithm irespective if have disabled Nagle algortihm under TCP profile ?

  • No.  If you have purposely disable Nagle in the tcpprofile (set it to modify and left at disabled state), then the AutoNagle will not take effect is my understanging:

    From the article:

"There are users out there that want to always minimize packet counts, or always minimize latency. For them, we still have the choice to enable or disable Nagle's algorithm altogether."
