Tacacs+ and local authentication

Hello,

 

I want to configure TACACS+ authentication.

 

Is it possible to use TACACS+ authentication and local authentication at the same time?

    I just ran into this question myself and unfortunately fallback is not a current option: http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/13000/400/sol13456.html?sr=26331845

     

    As a result, we decided to say with local auth.

    EDIT appoligies. Just read the link from the previous post and have noticed that SOL might only apply to certain models/versions. So clearly my experience will not apply to all versions.

     

     

    It is possible however to have Radius authentication (TACACS) configured and then to also have local Administrators configured.

     

    Not fallback exactly as you have to a seperate local account but does ensure you can have acccess regardless of the availablity of your tacacs server.
