Tableau Desktop to connect the Database via F5 APM

I am new to Tableau application, client came with Tableau desktop need to connect the database back in F5. They saying F5 APM should act as a broker. Not sure Tableau will be configured as a link in APM webtop or Tableau desktop will his the database link on APM.

 

Please if any one came across similar project Tableau let me know how to proceed?
