Mar 28, 2009System Uptime reset
Hi Team,
I recently got a uptime alert on one of my standby LTM BIG-IP Version 9.1.2 97.0 HF7.
I could not find any error logs on the /var/log/ltm.
I did not see any specific errors of the box getting a reboot.
[root@xxxxxxx.x.lb2:Standby] woadmin uptime
10:36:31 up 28 min, 1 user, load average: 1.00, 1.00, 1.00
[root@xxxxxxx.x.lb2:Standby] woadmin b failover show
FAILOVER standby for 465 days 16:33:18
[root@xxxxxxx.x.lb2:Standby] woadmin
Is this a bug? Did the uptime auto reset by itself ? what am I missing here ?
Can someone please help me find a solution.
Thanks in Advance.
Girish

as odd as the read out is, I think the uptime is pretty accurate that it did reboot. However, did you check the sccp to see if there was any errors there.

Could it be due to your system has been up for more than 497 days (approximately 16 months)?
Check SOL7036: Click here
you can try to see the real system boot from:
"last reboot -1" or "who -b" - The_Bhattman

Looking at Girish's output it has been up for less then 497 days.

Hi,
[root@xxxxxxx.x.lb2:Standby] woadmin last reboot -1
wtmp begins Thu Mar 5 04:06:21 2009
[root@eng-engint-lbd2:Standby] wo501684293
I don't see any message that says reboot. What does "wtmp begins Mar 5th" Mean ????
