Static Route gateway IP address is not directly connected via an interface.

F5 configuring basic setup: Adding DMZ routes Error : Static Route gateway IP address is not directly connected via an interface. I cannot ping from F5 the servers I wanted to monitor. How do I solve this? I can ping from the node to f5 device . I did not have any routes, any self ip . I have added the 3 interfaces created. vlan ha,external and internal vlans. Version: BIG-IP 13.0.0 Build 2.0.1671 Hotfix HF2

    you will need self IPs else it won't work. go through the network wizard at the start a configure them.

     

    or you might be doing layer 2 load balancing, but that would surprise me.

     

    i kinda wonder how you can ping the F5 without self IPs, or do you ping the management interface?
