Static link aggregation on a BIP-1000

Hi all,

a rather networking related question ... we are trying to get to the following config at the moment, using Static Link Aggregation, as I read that LACP is not supported in the 4.x releases.

BIP1000 ===== Alcatel Switch ... using plainly interfaces 1.1 and 1.2 on the BIP1000 and interfaces 1/1 and 1/2 on the Alcatel switch (which lets itself configure pretty much like a Cisco) ... on the Alcatel I have following config in place:

interface port-channel 1 | static port-channel created

!

interface ethernet 1/1 and interface 1/2

switchport allowed vlan add 1 untagged

switchport native vlan 1

channel-group 1

!

interface port-channel 1

switchport allowed vlan add 1 untagged

switchport native vlan 1

on the F5 side I have tried a whole bunch of combinations with the b vlan command, but so far i haven't gotten anywhere. Therefore posting my issue here, hoping somebody will be able to help me out with this seemingly trivial issue.

Thanks for any help you can give me,

Johan.
