You should be able to configure a SSO profile that is tailored to your backend application. Which type you use will vary depending on your requirements.
Once that profile is created, you can add a multi-domain SSO entry for that application, and the F5 will use the SSO profile when you access that site and meet the criteria of the SSO profile.
With multi-domain SSO, it is possible to mix and match SSO profiles, depending on the needs of the various sites protected by APM.
