SSL VPN to branch offices

I'm looking for a cost effective way to set up SSL VPN to out branch offices. We currently use the firepass to allow a single user to connect to the home office but I am looking for a solution for a branch.

The branch consists of two workstations and a printer. i would like the branch workstations to access the internet locally but come back to the home office for printing and other functions.

Would it be possible to use a windows SSL client on the workstation and the firepass to perform this? I work for a fanatical company so the connection will need to be extremely secure.

  • Hi Steve,

Firepass has the ability to do split tunneling. \with Split tunneling you specify the local subnets that will be served through the SSL tunnel, and then everything else will go out over the normal internet connection.
  • Thank you for the reply. In order to use SSL VPN at our branches will I need an appliance or will windows be able to handle the connection? I have two windows machines and an network printer.
