SSL client certification LDAP authorization
Hello to everyone,
I'm first time here so if I post my question in wrong forum, please, point me to the rihgt place.
I'm looking for the information if I can do SSL client certification LDAP authorization on external server having only LTM.
I've got an information that this kind of functionality is moved now to APM so it means that I need an APM license. I've checked all available manuals for version 11.3 and it seems that the mechanizm is built in LTM so I do not need APM.
Please help, because the price of my offer to the customer has increased above the limit.
Kind regards
Bartek

The capability exists in LTM because of the inclusion of a legacy component called the Advanced Client Authentication (ACA) module. ACA is a feature module, the predecessor of APM, and is generally rolled into enterprise (and some other) licensing options. It is, first and foremost, a legacy product that will fade from existence in future BIG-IP releases. So while you can perform the required LDAP authorization with ACA now, it shouldn't be a long-term solution.
