I have received an SSL cert to assign to a webserver but with no private key file. All I have is one .crt file , one root.txt and one chain.txt file. So I am not sure how to import the pri...

Sep 24, 2014The private key is used to generate the CSR. Who/what generated the CSR? The key will be there. For instance, if you clicked Renew in the F5 web interface to get your CSR, then yes, that is the private key you need.
And no, the CSR is not the private key, and cannot be used to obtain the private key.
