SSL Accelerator API questions

Hi,

 

 

I noticed that as part of the ITCMLocalLB:Proxy, the SDK allows one to set the client parameters -- i am little confused here. How do you ocntrol the SSL client that is out there in the internet somewhere. I thought the APIs should only be able to set the proxy parameters and get some client info. How can one set the client certificate/ca etc, please clarify. I know that i am missing something here for sure!

 

 

Also, there are APIs that get the client related information -- how is the client identified? There might be several clients connecting to the SSL accelerator, correct? What is the significance of "SessionCredentials" in all these APIs?

 

 

...does the SSL proxy make another TCP cnnection to the target server to deliver the clear traffic?

 

 

Final question...the SSL proxy can also be configured not to use the virtual server, in which case the all the clients connect to the actual address of the SSL proxy, correct.
