Source IP based persistence with multiple F5s

Hi

 

I have a scenario, where the browser sends a request to the F5 (domain 1) and it gets redirected to another F5 (domain 2) based on some irules. My question is, if I have Source IP based persistence on F5-Domain2, based on which IP does the session is persisted, the "Browser IP" or the "F5-Domain 1 IP"?

    If you are doing a true redirect(301 or 302) then the Source IP would be the Browser IP. The connection are direct from the client to F5-Domain2 after the redirect, it does not continue to flow through F5-Domain1

     

    If you mean something else by redirect, then the answer could be different, please explain more.
