Solarwinds Alerting for F5 Devices
Recently, Solarwinds (Orion) has deployed in our environment. We want to use this tool for monitoring/alerting/reporting via Solarwinds so I want to know the alerting parameter which will useful for F5 operation support with help of Solarwinds.

I saw Solarwinds been used to monitor F5s in the past, and as far as I remember Solarwinds can monitor most of the common things in the F5 unit. If you want to extend that, try to import the F5 MIBs.

Whenever I have seen it being used, you have to customise everything though.
For example when you get the SNMP status for a POOL it's 'RED' or 'GREEN' or 'BLACK' (Text Values) and this is exactly what SW will report (i.e. it'll write out the text 'RED'. So if you want something fancy (i.e. show a red flashing marker rather than just print 'RED'), you have to take your time to set it up.
