I was curious on a direction for changing SNMP strings on LTM's and GTM's. We are running the version of EM. To it seems that this could be accomplished with a template. However, I am not real familiar with the templates. We have to change the string every 90 days.
The first question is what is the best way to do this. I am assuming the EM templates are the answer. The second would be I have not been able to find an example of a template that is making changes through the CLI. I am open to any suggestions. Thanks.

John_Arnold_106I haven't experimented with changing community strings in EM yet, but I the SNMPClient tool for CLI changes
Combine with and Plink to push the changes to a devicelist via SSH2- Interesting idea, I'll see what I can find out.
