SNMP access prolem

two F5 1500 one is active one is standby from solariwinds i can snmp access active box, but snmp access standby box, machine type return unknown cpu utils is 100%

 i use snmpscan active box can return normal string, but standby box return:"can't get SystemGroup error"

another two 1500s has no problem .it is same as this two boxes.

version is 9.1.3

  • try it with the host mib. BigIP is a linux system. it should work with a walk through 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1

     

  • Hi Torti, Thank you! But i am confused why just only this Bigip 1500 has snmp access problem, The other 3 1500 is ok. version hardware is same. SNMP access test is ok, but when get SytemGroup, can't return a value. the other 3 1500 can return normal value. I found this 1500(standby) when i navigte to system-->services--->snmpd . I found snmpd service has many restarts . the other 1500(which is active) restarts is only 2 times. I can't found reason. because this box was replaced , we will replace this box for customer. Thank you! Junli
