SMTP 530 Error

Has anyone encountered error 530 on smtp? I have configured smtp on my big-ip but when i run a test mail I'm getting the below error message   [<-] 220 host1.mic.co.za Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Servic...

Normally SMTP 530 error occurs due to below issues,

 

  1. Invalid Authentication (wrong login creds)
  2. Invalid recipient's mail
  3. Blacklisted/Blocked IP Address

 

Also error code 530 implies 530, Must issue a STARTTLS command first. Encryption required for requested authentication mechanism.
