Slow HTTP Response Action

Hello   We had an issue recently where some servers in a pool began to respond slowly to HTTP requests ( 25 seconds + ). As this is a voice IVR application this is not good and caused an incident....

Do you have a health monitor applied to the Pool associated with your virtual server?

 

A properly configured health monitor would be able to detect when a pool member is not responding withing pre-defined thresholds. A default timeout for the 'http' monitor is 16 seconds. However you can create a custom monitor that meets your requirements.

 

The general rule is the timeout equals 3x the monitor interval + 1
