Size of config file in BIG IP is very large.

The config file size is big in my BIG IP. I had configured only few web pool. Where other BIG IP is having huge configuration its config file size is very less while taking back up. please help me to...

This unit probably had APM configured at some point while your "other unit" with the smaller UCS file did not.

 

  • 552M /config/filestore/files_d/Common_d/epsec_package_d

F5 has an RFE (request for enhancement ID419880) open to prevent storing these EPSEC/APM related files in a UCS archive but it hasn't made it into the product yet. If you are not using APM you can remove these files using the instructions in SOL25633150.
