NimbostratusSite based persistence options
How can I can achieve site based persistence on internal network. Our LDNS are in the same site, so topology based DNS query would not help. On LTM side, vipA and pool memA+memB at Site A. Similarly, vipB and pool memA+memB at site B. Would be using cookie insert (same cookie name e.g. CookieAB at both sites). Would it matter, if persistent request hit at any site? Secondly, if cross site pool members are in a disabled state, would I achieve site based persistence without any issue? thanks a lot for your help.
It is not clear what sort of persistence you are talking about.
Is it gtm persistence - all requests need to go to one site only Is it ltm persistence - all requests need to go to one pool member only Is it both of them?
Max1234_364376Thanks for response. We would like to have GTM site based persistence and both sites should get utilized. Ideally, site1 traffic should stay at site1 and site2 traffic at site2. In case of site1 cookie ends up at site2, site 2 should be able to handle it without redirecting to site1.
