Simulation of Webservers for an F5 Lab
Hi all;
Recently I attended a 2 day training course for F5 Administration (v11)
During the labs which were on a virtualised F5 image running through VMWare, the instructor had some sort of image running in the background, which was a image that simulated webservers, when creating our F5 config, and testing, we tested by hitting the IP addresses in our web browser, and it would load up like a RED page and a BLUE page, which would give us indicication of what was being returned, and simulated the webservers.
Basically my question is, is this something thats publically available? or something similar? so what when I am configuring my F5 test labs, I can simulate webservers, rather than having to create a new VM for each webserver?
Sorry if this is a little confusing, please let me know if you need more info

NetworkTeam,
there are virtual training VMs on downloads.f5.com - i think they're the same as the instructor led training.
Select vLab and then vlab_files - you should see the LAMP zip file.
This should help.

https://login.f5.com/resource/login.jsp?ctx=719748 - Find a Download - vLab (at the bottom) - vLab files. Does that help?

Appears to be missing from the list. I will contact F5 directly and see if they can point me on an alternative way, or to find out why its missing.
Many thanks for your help

Oh i wonder if i see them as I work for an f5 partner. Unless you do then you might not get access to vLabs. If not, in essence the VM is just a *nix box with multiple IP addresses to simulate different web servers.

Pretty sure we are a partnet, I have sent them an email so will see what they come back with.
