simulating views with a WideIP

I'm sure this is probably something that gets done fairly often, but I'm new to GTM, and I'm having trouble coming up with an elegant solution.

 

 

For external clients, I want to send all traffic to one of 2 virtual servers (using Global Availability LB method such that one of the virtual servers is just a standby.

 

 

For internal clients, I want to send all traffic directly to the physical server, so that the users aren't traversing the WAN with this data (high-resolution medical imaging/videos) more than is necessary.

 

 

To top it off, I have a LOT of Wide IPs to configure with a similar setup, so I'd like to try and achieve this with a minimal number of topology records/iRules (and preferrably have these records/irules be reusable for all Wide IPs that need to be configured in this manner.

 

 

Any suggestions?
