Simplest ping is not working between cisco switch and F5

yes self ip and switch ip are on the same network. Yes i can ping the self ip from inside the f5. I will answer your 3 question after checking. thanks sir for your reply.

ping from laptop to F5 and from F5 to laptop is also not working.

Check to see if the interface is up: "tmsh show net interfaces" if not, can you try a different interface on the F5?

interface is up. when i try pinging even statistics of interface show increased traffic but ping is failing.

I would check the masks, duplex and basic network settings. If that is all fine, recommend taking a tcpdump of the traffic and deducing from there.

mask is correct, duplex is full. I have taken tcpdump it shows ping requests coming towards self ip but i am not seeing any response give back.

If i take out cable and put in laptop i can ping cisco switch it means cisco switch is fine If i put switch end in laptop and try to ping F5 self ip it fails and viseversa. Which means something not right in F5 what configuration it takes on F5 end? make a vlan, put one interface in it and select it as untagged. give a self ip and ping it from directly connected laptop. but its failing. ahhh please help.
