Sharepoint and FBA
I'm attempting to get a Sharepoint virtual working, the servers are using Form Based Authentication (FBA). If the servers are accessed directly they get the authentication prompt, but through the virtual they get a 401 error (unauthorized), which is what you get when connecting directly if you escape out of the authentication prompt.
I've been looking at the documentation here: https://www.f5.com/pdf/deployment-guides/sharepoint-2010-iapp-dg.pdf
And I have added HTTP Profile setting ReWrite Redirect to Matching -- but it didn't help. Anyone familiar with this issue and have a suggestion?

- Josiah_39459Historic F5 AccountI would diff the http requests between the direct and the virtual cases. If they truly are identical that just leaves the source ip address, which means if you are using SNAT you may have to modify the server to accept requests from the BIG-IPs ip address.

The more I look around the more I suspect that doing Sharepoint and FBA without an Access Policy Manager module is not a good idea... - mikeshimkus_111Historic F5 AccountHi Ray, do you have APM in front of SharePoint, or no? The recommended config is to leave your SharePoint set to NTLM auth and let APM handle the forms auth and SSO. Or are you getting different behavior using FBA with LTM only? Is this SharePoint 2010 or 2013? thanks
