Setup on Big-IP for DSI software
Good afternoon, Our Mobile Business group has installed new DSI software for the mobile devices in the field, hand held scanners, etc.
The software must see the client IP address and is only open on highend port numbers. The software company provided no support for load balancing nor any recommended settings for and F5 deployment.
Perhaps there is a user/group that is familiar with the DSI software. The comment from the software company is:
•General description of DSI MEP data traffic: ocommunication is TCPIP based socket communication. High port and random port response should be open on any line of communication between the DSI app server and the load balancer and no firewall should exist in the direct network path. Also communication should be bi-direction TCP protocol.
We really don’t have much to offer for your situation. We do not have the hands-on experience or skill set to troubleshoot the F5 settings. So long as you do not have the issue when not using the F5 load balancer, our Global Support team will not see this as a DSI product issue.
