Separation Partitions and Interfaces in VCMP guests

Hi Guys

Im trying to find out whether its possible to run traceroute or ping type tests from certain partitons/VLANs on VCMP guests. Let me give you an example......a VCMP guest is partitioned into several customers and each partition has a number of VLANs assigned to it. I want to test connectivity from a specific partition/VLAN to determine connectivity issues.

If i log into the root of the VCMP guest and run an ifconfig i can clearly see the common partition and the VLANs associated with it. I can then run tests from that slef IP in that VLAN. Howevwer the problem exists if it is outside the common partition.

Is this a function of TMOS....is it possible

Looking in TMSH we can obviously chnage partition. I didnt relaise that tools such as traceroute etc are available from TMSH too. So can chnage between partitions and run tools from specific partitions
