self and floating ip does not reply

Hello all,   I have two ltm machines in active standby mode.   port 1 of each connect to switch A   port 8 of each connect to switch B in 802.1q and have 12 Vlans   My problem is: ...

Hi,

 

What about a Floating IP ? is it also not possible to ping it ?

 

I have 2 machines in an active/standby mode:

 

The self and th floating ip of the active machine is not answering to ping

 

the self ip of the backup machine is reachable via icmp.

 

Is it a normal behavior?
