Security Scanning Big IQ Fails

Our security team requires that I scan my virtual appliance to verify the ports and services open are secure. When scanning the the Big IQ stops responding. It seems as if it is attempting to stop an attack. Is there a white list somewhere that I can set the scanning address to allow the scan to complete?
