script to auto config sync

I've been trying for two days to get the automatic backup and scp transfer to work and now trying to add on configsync lines. Unfortunately the only code I found in the second link does not work. It will not add the failover lines into the variables. It's probably a syntax error since it give me a "cannot be found" after the tmsh.

I'd really appreciate some help in finishing this script with configsync. Thanks!

    oh, testing it now on v 11.4, but will need it to work on 11.2 (I know I'm doing it backwards).

    AND, I'm on a VE because I'm testing. Prod will be on hardware, not sure that makes a difference here.

    neither of those have configsync, they're just backup (that I can see). I got the backup & scp offload to work through the script, it's just the sync part that I'm missing. Plus icall is only on 11.4+ right?

  • maybe you can try this..

    DGName=$(tmsh list cm device-group one-line | grep sync-failover | awk -F' ' '{print $3}')
      echo "syncing now to DG $DGName" >> $logfile 2>&1
      tmsh run cm config-sync to-group $DGName  >> $logfile 2>&1
      if [ $? -ne 0 ]; then
          echo "Error with config sync" >> $logfile 2>&1
          error=1
