Script help?
Hello all,
I need help locating a script on v9 BIGIP that we have. Basically, the BIGIP pings a VIP it has on itself every 5 seconds or so. I think its used as a keep alive and was implemented pre my time.
so basically when i TCPDUMP for the VIP IP i can see pings originating from the BIGIP outside source interface which hosts the VIP. THen the VIP echo replies.
Im not a big scripter so im not sure which Directory it would be located in? Or any sting search commands to search through the directories? The only thing i know is that the VIP that is being pinged.
Is there any way of searching for this VIP through all the directories?
Or can someone recommend a DIR to look in to see what scripts are? OR any advice would be great..
Thanks

There are a few places I might look:
-
/config/monitors - the previous admin may have set this up as a monitor, so you might also actually see a monitor configuration in the GUI.
-
Cron - if not a monitor, the only other reasonable place to configure a timed process is under cron. Look through the cron files and folders under /etc/.
-
Worst case, you may be able to see the process running with a ps command.
