SAP Netweaver - SSL offload GUI (thick) clients?

Guys,

 

 

As the topic states, has anyone ever tried to use a client SSL profile to perform SSL offload of the SNC traffic between the SAP Netweaver App server and the GUI (thick) clients?

 

 

I have no idea myself and am not able to proof-of-concept of it at the moment. Documentation doesn't specifically mention it.

 

 

The build guide for Netweaver talks about Portal traffic which is all HTTP based.

 

 

I suspect it wouldn't work but have no idea really.
