rpm package file for cyrus-sasl-gssapi-2.1.22-5.el5.4.0
I have a 90 day trial virtual F5 big-ip, I am trying to test kerberos configuration before attempting to put it on a live big-ip. Is there a 90 day, cyrus-sasl-gssapi-2.1.22-5.el5.4.0 rpm file that I can download. Or is there a restriction on this version.
thanks in advance.

There is a package installation restriction on every version of the BIG-IP. You could certainly attempt to load an RPM, but it would not be supported. Can you elaborate on what you're trying to achieve?

Hi,
Thanks for responding.
We are trying to load balance two Sharepoint servers, we are currently using NTLM authentication.
We need to configure Kerberos, I have been tasked with trying the Kerberos configuration on a virtual Big-ip before rolling it out to a live big-ip. The business will not sanction rolling out configuration updates of this sort until it has been fully tested.
The cyrus-sasl-gssapi-2.1.22-5.el5.4.0 package does not exist on the virtual Big-ip.
Thanks.

Ah, well you don't need to install an RPM to get Kerberos. You just need to license and provision the Access Policy Manager (APM) module. It has full support for both client side and server side Kerberos, and SharePoint authentication is a pretty common use case.

OK, thanks for that.
When I run the command ' rpm -qa | grep cyrus'
On the Live Big-ip I get the result below cyrus-sasl-gssapi-2.1.22-5.el5.4.0 cyrus-sasl-lib-2.1.22-5.el5.4.0 cyrus-sasl-2.1.22-5.el5.4.0
On the 90 day trial version, I get cyrus-sasl-lib-2.1.22-5.el5.4.0 cyrus-sasl-2.1.22-5.el5.4.0
Do I need a specific license to have the package cyrus-sasl-gssapi-2.1.22-5.el5.4.0 available on the 90 day trial virtual version.?
Thanks again

I completely understand what you're attempting to do, but please understand that the installation of software packages, of any kind, is unsupported on these platforms. There is no license to install or make available an RPM. You can attempt to, and potentially succeed in installing separate unsupported software packages, but there's an almost 100% guarantee that they won't produce the results you're looking for in the product. If you want to achieve Kerberos authentication to your SharePoint servers, the best (and only) way to do that is by licensing and provisioning APM. I think you'll find the configuration for APM Kerberos to be reasonably easy, and absolutely supported.
