RHI and irule

Hello,

 

We want to use RHI solution and have few questions regard to design ideas. Pls help.

 

 

We would like to have active/standby scenario where primary DC advertise the route all time, however backup data center doesn't advertise. The backup dc monitors the primary DC VIP, and if it's down, it starts adverising the route.

 

 

I know we can do with BGP but we are looking stricly LB based solution.

 

 

I am thinking that backup DC LB is configured with pool that contains the primary dc VIP. then use irule something to check the status and based on that enable/disbale the VIP on backup dc LB that inturn governs the route injection.

 

 

Do you know of any irule to check and implement above solution?
