Restore UCS from BIG-IP 2200 (C117) to BIG-IP i2600(C117)

Restore UCS from BIG-IP 2200 (C117) to BIG-IP i2600(C117)

 

I have two F5 BIG-IP devices 1) 2200 2) I2600

 

I want to upload UCS file from 2200 to i2600, i was not able to do as the restore failed.

 

Please suggest how to accomplish the above task.

    Restore between devices must be done with tmsh command line with special parameters (no move licence and no plateforme check)

    Hi,

     

    i suggest trying the new BIG-IP Migration assistant

     

    • Change Master Key of old device based on new pass-phrase: tmsh modify sys crypto master-key prompt-for-password

       

    • UCS Backup of old device manually or download with migration assistant

       

    • Change Master Key of new device using same pass-phrase

       

    • UCS Migration with the tool.

       

    Let me know if it worked I am looking for more experience with this tool...
