REST API
Hi everybody, i just need some guidelines here please. I was in a discussion talking about load balancing traffics. Actually there was one point raised about configuring the f5 appliance automatically something like REST API. I am not sure if these is possible nor understand how it would work. Can somebody please clarify if f5 supports such programmable REST-API configuration and how it's done? Thanks for comments.

Hello Carlande, F5's solutions do in fact support the REST API framework, here is a link to the wiki on how it works. https://devcentral.f5.com/wiki/iControlREST.HomePage.ashx This wiki includes some good sample iControlREST calls and will get you up to speed. Keep in mind there is lots of sample code in the community that have been solved by other dev central members.

I found Jason Rahm's series of "Demystifying iControl REST" articles most helpful. You can find them here on devcentral, e.g. part one: https://devcentral.f5.com/articles/demystifying-icontrol-rest-part-1-understanding-the-request-uri
