Renew certification inF5

We are renewing certification in F5. We need to do the below Step one and Step two. My question is why we need to do Step Two? I think Step One is to import certification and Step two is to activate ...

Depends on if you need an intermediate certificate for your application. If your SSL Client profile is already configured with an intermediate certificate, you likely will not need to change it.
