NimbostratusRenaming ASM Security Policy to replace active policy 11.5.5
We have 200+ security policies and have recently started a project to rename many of them to meet a standard naming convention. I have tried the following:
- Export the policy.
- Rename the file name to the correct format.
- Change the appropriate XML tags in the file to the correct name format.
- Import the policy back into the device and replace and active policy.
When I follow these steps, the renamed policy is imported, but the active policy retains the incorrect name format.
Is it possible in 11.5.5 to rename the active policy? If so, what are the correct steps to do so?

You seem to be following the right steps, I suggest opening an F5 Support case if the name does not change. Have you tried deactivating the old policy first (the one with the wrong name)?

Try importing the policy as a new policy not attached to a virtual server, and then assign the new policy to the virtual server, replacing the original.
