Nimbostratusrename VirtualServers or Pools
Hello,
i need to change some configs - the definied names of my VirtualServers do not match my new requirements.
Via the GUI i found no way to rename a VirtualServer or a Pool.
Is there something via command line or any trick to do it?
Of course i could delte it and make it new ... but

Keith_Richards_I guess this depends on how confident you are with editing files from the command line. If you use nano to edit /config/bigip.conf you can change the names of your virtual servers.
When you come save and exit from the file type:
b load
and this will make active your changes. You will see that in the GUI the names have now changed.
Make sure you back up your working bigip.conf file first.- Hey Ingo,
If you have created some of them via iControl and not used ConfigSync to save the running configuration, that would be why.
If you are using the GUI, I don't know - it should automatically save your changes.

i found my configs. They are split in two files.
Some is in bigip.conf and the rest ist in bigip_local.conf.
Dont know why - but it works to edit them.
