Remove Link Controler from Big-IP

Hello,

 

 

I'm kinda new with Big Ip. I'm installing 2 x 1500 in an active active-configuration. The point is, sales ppl from F5 recommended us to buy a couple of F5 Link controller to provide link balancing (based on dynamic DNS resolution).

 

 

The point is, since the IP addresses we use are from a small Ripe range distributed with BGP throught two different ISP routers, it is pointless for us the Link Controller part of Big-IP.

 

 

My question is, how can I disable all Link controller stuff (Bind, connections between BigIps.. etc) since we won't use it? I don't want to reinstall the licenses.

    Why not relicense the unit without the LC token (this may require a new base reg key if the LC token is integrated into the exiting one)? Or don't configure WIPs. Why would you want to remove the functionality but not get an updated license?
