remove apache and replace with F5 VS, but still needs awstats
Hi,
I am using the iApp for weblogic, and have cut out the apache server(which was really load balancing the weblogic servers previously) and just connect to the weblogic's direct from the F5. All well and good. Only problem is, after years of badgering our business users to actually use awstats, now they actually do, and the stats from AVR is just not as nicely formed, or formatted as awstats, so now our business users are complaining that there is no awstats.
So, I have two choices. Either put apache back in place, and live with it, awstats will once again ride high, or alternatively, force the F5 to produce logs such that awstats can ingest them. I quite fancy the latter approach. But as usual, I was wondering if anyone else has the same issues, and what solutions you might have put in place?.
I have come across this post, https://devcentral.f5.com/community/group/aft/22500/asg/50, which seems a little dated, but the principles appear the same. Ideas, insights, and advice greatly appreciated.
thanks
Sc0tt....
