curl -I http://boprod/BOE/BI does not return any results
- Tunde1972_27774Jul 11, 2016Nimbostratus
it says could not connect to host

Sounds like your virtual isn't configured properly. Can you share the config for it?

it is configured to listen on 8080 and all the health monitors are working I am able to access http://boprod:8080/BOE/BI, but want users to just type http://boprod/BOE/BI to access the main url.

The VS has to be configured to listen on port 80 if you want users to use: http://boprod/BOE/BI
You can have VS listening on port 80 and the pool members listening on port 8080 and don't use any iRules.

I have configured the VIP to listen on port 80 and try to access url using http://boprod/BOE/BI does not still work. the pool members are listening on port 8080

Use the CURL command and post output. Do you have a VS listening on port 80 & pool members listening on 8080 ? If so, you don't need the iRule.

Yes that is exactly what I have configured and I have removed the irule, the VIP is listening on 80 and pool members on 8080 but for some strange reason http://boprod/BOE/BI does not land me to the webpage. it says page cannot be displayed.
