redirect based on extention type
I'm new to iRules and to the F5 for the most part, so please bear with me.
I have a buisness requirement that is asking for the following:
When someone is on our web page and clicks on a link to download or upload a doc or image that the F5 directs that request based on the type of extention like(.doc, .docx, .gif, .jpeg, .pdf etc..) to a sperate pool of servers that maintain these type of docs.
I guess I'll also have to enable SSL on the F5 since the client packets have to be unencrypted and inspected then re-encrypted and sent on to the server. I assume the F5s has built in SSL accelerators so this is done using F5 hardware and is extremely fast.
Thanks,
