Recommend way to move F5's to a new DC
Hello Everyone
Ok there is a project at work to move a client from their 2 DC's to our Dc's. They want new F5 hardware in the new Dcs.
The Vlans are being extended to the new Dc's while server migration happens.
My Question is what would be the best way to get the new f5's working. with the old configs VS pools etc
is the a white paper on migrating to new hardware, what do F5 Recoment to do
Thanks

Ideally you'd do a UCS archive backup on the existing F5, and do a restore on the new F5. There are things to consider regarding platforms, code versions, etc. For example, if the UCS restore is on a different platform, the restore will succeed given you use the no-platform-check option, but the config will fail to load. You would then have to manually edit the config to clean up any conflicting items. It's not a difficult process but can be a bit frustrating the first time around.
