Real Time Bandwidth Monitoring

I've recently deployed a new BIG-IP LTM 1500 running 9.4.1 and I wanted to see how I can monitor the current bandwidth for each virtual address in real time.

Previously, I have used the old utility SeeIT to monitor the older F5 BIG-IP platforms that I have in production. Unfortunately, that seeIT application does not work with the new 9.4.1 platform.

Does anyone have any experience setting this up? I have SolarWinds as a monitoring application that I can use for this piece as well.

Thanks in advance.
  • I am starting to use Cacti to monitor bandwidth use on our virtual servers. On one pair of 1500s we have we are also running 9.4.1 and i cannot get any stats for the virtual servers at all. On our other 1500s which run 9.2.x and 9.4.3 i can get statistics easily.

im not sure if there is a problem collecting stats from 9.4.1 or if its my cacti setup but if you do try cacti and run into problems it may be worth upgrading the os on it.

If anyone else knows if there is a way to get virtual server stats from 9.4.1 i would be very greatfull of some advice.

    thanks
