Read only File system error
Hi everyone,
I'm kind of new with F5 configuration. We need to build a new policy for security purposes. Policy seem to work ok. However, when I want to customize the new policy pages with our company branding, I get a read only file system error like this:
/var/tmp/BB8C43C2A518A89A8F06D64F5F039420__Common_managed-services_AD_general_ui.xml (Read-only file system)
only getting this error in production as my dev box is ok. Lucky me...
Anyone know how I can get it fixed. I can see my page preview but can't save it.
Tks

Please provide the output of mount
/var/tmp should never be a Read-Only filesystem, unless a file system or disk error was detected during startup.
Try the procedure detailed in

here is the output:
mount
/dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-set.1.root on / type ext3 (rw,noatime) none on /proc type proc (rw) devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw) none on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw,noatime,rootcontext="system_u:object_r:tmpfs_t:s0") /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-set.1._config on /config type ext3 (rw,noatime) /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-set.1._usr on /usr type ext3 (ro,noatime) /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-set.1._var on /var type ext3 (rw,noexec,noatime) /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-dat.share.1 on /shared type ext3 (rw,noatime) /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-dat.log.1 on /var/log type ext3 (rw,noatime) none on /shared/rrd.1.2 type tmpfs (rw,noatime,rootcontext="system_u:object_r:file_t:s0") none on /var/tmstat type tmpfs (rw,rootcontext="system_u:object_r:file_t:s0") none on /var/run type tmpfs (rw,noatime,rootcontext="system_u:object_r:file_t:s0") none on /sys/kernel/debug type debugfs (ro,noexec) prompt on /var/prompt type tmpfs (rw,size=4m,rootcontext="system_u:object_r:file_t:s0") none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw) none on /var/loipc type tmpfs (rw,noatime,rootcontext="system_u:object_r:var_t:s0") /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-app.ASWADB.set.1.mysqldb on /var/lib/mysql type ext3 (rw,noatime) none on /dev/mprov/apm type hugetlbfs (rw) none on /dev/mprov/tmm type hugetlbfs (rw) /var/named/lib on /var/named/lib type none (rw,bind) /var/dnscached/lib on /var/dnscached/lib type none (rw,bind)
I can see that the /var/tmp directory is a symlink to /shared/tmp:
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 13 2016-09-08 04:36 tmp -> ../shared/tmp
pwd
/shared
drwxrwxrwt. 8 root root 20480 2018-09-18 23:35 tmp
Everything is read/write. Guess I need to prepare a maintenance window for an fsck

Yes - that is probably the best course to try.

will schedule that for tomorrow.
