Re-Direct's

I'm a sales guy. my company has a data service that presents a customers products in a unique way behind a menu bar selection (link points to us) on the customers home page.

Example: customer url is www.customer.com, our link takes the website visitor to the url:customer.mycompany.com

When selling the service, I periodically get pushback from a prospective buyer who says they don't allow, or don't like, or have been told not to allow "re-directs". We also provide our customer with SEO/Analytic reporting from all the activity on customer.mycompany.com.

I will start asking "Why is this a problem?" to see if there's intelligence and reason behind the pushback. But for now, is there anyone out there that can:

1) Tell me why this MIGHT be a problem? and, 2) What an intelligent objection-killer response might be for me to overcome this issue?
